What does sealcoating protect against?

Sealcoating your driveway helps protect your asphalt against almost everything you and nature can throw at it:

  • Block harmful UV rays that can break down your asphalt causing cracks

  • Prevent water penetration and erosion from rainfall and melting snow

  • Reduce cracks and winter damage caused from ice expansion and salt corrosion

  • Resist damage from oil and gas leaks that could soften your asphalt

We realize you have things to do and places to be, that's why we're happy to work while you're out. Come home from work to a brand new looking driveway.

What does your process look like?

When Barrie Driveway arrives, we will knock on your door to let you know we are there and make sure your cars have been moved. We use a high powered blowers and brooms to remove any dust and debris. We'll also prime any oil or gas spots, fill the agreed cracks. Then we edge your driveway, going under or around any overhanging plants or features.

Next, we apply an evenly layered coating of our asphalt sealcoating that dries to a black finish and protects your driveway. We'll tape off your driveway to keep it safe from traffic while the sealant cures and let you know when we're done. Making it easy for our customer is our top priority.

Here is a quick checklist of how to prepare your driveway for the best sealcoating possible:

  • Move any vehicles, furniture, or other objects off the asphalt before your appointment

  • Trim back any overhanging bushes, trees, or other plants

  • Hose down your driveway the night before for the best results. Make sure it has plenty of time to dry before we get there

  • Make sure any pets are put away and can't access the driveway

  • Turn off all automatic sprinkler systems
